Almond Pesto Encrusted Salmon

 

3, 5 oz. boneless, skinless salmon steaks
1 package fresh basil
3 tsps. extra virgin olive oil
9 almonds
2 garlic cloves quartered

ground salt and pepper to taste

Grind all ingredients together in a Cuisinart, and spoon onto tops of salmon steaks. Broil in oven until pesto sizzles and edges are crisped to a golden brown. Bake at low heat until desired temperature of salmon.
